The campaign received over 2 million ad impressions to promote the Visit Tourist Board, and generated 26 enquiries for Explore.

The key problem:

The Costa Rica Tourist board wanted to encourage more people to visit the popular Latin America country. To do this, they saw an opportunity to collaborate with Explore and get in front of their adventure-seeking customer base.

Who is the client?

Explore specialise in adventure travel, providing small group adventure trips to over 130 countries worldwide. Visit Costa Rica is the Central American country’s tourist board and go-to source for events, activities and trip planning in the region.

Core objectives of the campaign

Our strategy was to put Costa Rica front and centre for those audiences interested in adventure travel. We approached this by:

  • Raising awareness of Costa Rica to relevant audiences
  • Increasing traffic to the Explore site by positioning Explore as an advocate of visiting Costa Rica
  • Encourage audiences interested in Costa Rica to book with Explore
