In order to help our clients reach stratospheric new heights, we were faced with the task of understanding what would help us drive forwards in terms of client delight. We came to believe that delighting our customers starts with having a happy and healthy team, who are inspired and driven by their careers and love being a part of the Silverbean team and so, came the essential Silverbean ideologies that all staff here abide by:

Having a happy and healthy team is critical in achieving this because we know that a happy team = great results, and great results = happy clients!

So, we aim to inspire and drive our team to continue their brilliant results by turning Silverbean into a great place to work. From free fruit, healthy snacks and drinks to a great office space and internal initiatives to make sure our team feel really appreciated. So while our team is ever-expanding, we actually have a very low staff turnover and that’s something we’re really proud of.

Lets face it, as a client, there’s nothing more frustrating than having a new agency contact from month to month and we’re delighted to have the ability to assign our team to clients and know that from day 1, we can start building long-term relationships.

This means that no matter how long (or challenging!) a task may be, our clients feel confident that their Silverbean team are completely invested in their brand, meaning we can gain (and retain!) our knowledge from the very start of the partnership.

This, of course, is a massively important objective for any business – not only Silverbean – but in order for our clients to get the most out of working with us, we need to make sure that they get all of the benefits of having such a brilliant agency. In a nutshell, we condensed these down to:

Having an agency with a great approach. A smile can go a long way – we understand that. But finding an agency that can tackle the toughest tasks and guide you (as a client) through them, can be as difficult as finding a needle in a haystack!

Long gone are the days of your brand only requiring pretty branding and a great TV ad! In this day and age customers are stronger, wiser and they know what they want when they want it (check out our post on micro-moments for more on this). They rule the transaction. As a digital agency, we live our lives as marketeers (and consumers!) online and we know that digital is the foundation of growth for our clients so having a concrete digital strategy is a must – with customer centricity at its core.

Being able to understand the complicated world of digital can be a mammoth task for some brands to manage in-house, so we take care to communicate in plain, understandable, English (or French or Dutch if you prefer!) Not only that but we’d love you to learn a thing or two as you go!

No matter whether clients are working with our conversion rate analysts, analytics experts or our affiliate team on a fun campaign for your customers, we don’t baffle our clients with acronyms and unlike some, we know so much about our craft we even work with our clients and their wider teams and boards, most recently on an internal digital education session with Bunzl Plc.

From day one, we want to ensure we know as much as we need to about your brand and so our on boarding process is completely reflective of that.

We often see clients who have been unimpressed or left disappointed with previous agencies and at Silverbean we’re looking to change the perception of digital agencies. We pride ourselves on clarity, honesty and our visible strategic approach, meaning that we’re with our clients every step of the way.

At the heart of this, is knowing that our clients are more than money and we’re keen to do all we can to support them beyond our “remit”, so to speak.

When thinking about some of the weird and wonderful ways we’ve supported our clients beyond their digital contract we had a list of examples to choose from. However, one of our favourites from 2015 has to be The Big Beach Clean, sponsored by our client Protec Direct.

Back in March Surfers Against Sewage (SAS) coordinated the biggest ever Big Spring Beach Clean at 175 beaches around the UK. This involved over 6,000 people from British coastal communities rolling up their sleeves to remove a massive 25 tonnes of marine litter from our coastlines.

As a sponsor of this event, the Silverbean team were delighted to support our client Protec Direct by joining the movement at Tynemouth Longsands beach, battling the heavy rain and winds of up to fifty miles per hour.

Inspiring future generations, award winning and being recognised on a national scale.

If you’ve come across the Silverbean blog, you’ll know that the team at Silverbean is committed to producing excellent content that our audience will find useful – another example of us providing real value.

Our blog content is led by our internal marketing team and written by carefully selected members of the team who are able to put their expert knowledge and unique technical ability into practice, helping to make it a great resource for learning about some of the hottest digital topics of the moment.

Making a difference is really important to us here at Silverbean and while we really want to make a difference to our clients, we’re also finding ways to make a difference to the industry and future generations who could be the next digital dynamos.

In recent months two members of our team, Lauren Archer and Charlotte McMurray have been named in The Drum’s Top 50 under 30 Women in Digital and we couldn’t be prouder!

We’ve also recently had two of our senior Consultants, Tom Etherington and Nic Yates, named in the Rising Star category at the 2015 Drum Network Awards and achieved ‘Elite’ agency status across the board, too. Many of the Silverbean team have also partnered with regional Universities to help educate younger generations and inspire them into digital careers.
